Parameters

INFLECT is organized into four control groups with 14 shaping controls, plus the Shape selector.

Group 01

Harmonics

Fold depth, staging, and shape macros define how aggressively the waveform is driven through the selected transfer curve.

Parameter	Range	Default	Description
Fold	1× — 20×	1×	Fold depth. Higher values push the signal further into the transfer function, generating more harmonics.
Stages	1 — 8	1	Number of cascaded fold iterations. Each stage re-folds the output of the previous.
Shape A	0.0 — 1.0	0.5	Per-shape macro control. Meaning depends on selected fold shape.
Shape B	0.0 — 1.0	0.5	Second per-shape macro control. Currently used by WestCoast.

Group 02

Sculpt

Pre and post filtering shape which frequencies get folded and where the resulting harmonics are emphasized afterward.

Parameter	Range	Default	Description
Focus	-100 — +100	0	Bipolar split/tone emphasis. -100 = LP focus, 0 = neutral, +100 = HP focus.
Pre-filter	20 Hz — 20 kHz	20 kHz	Low-pass filter applied before folding. Limits which frequencies enter the fold stage.
Tone	-100 — +100	0	Post-shaper bipolar filter. -100 = LP, 0 = neutral, +100 = HP.

Group 03

Dynamics

Envelope-sensitive controls keep the fold engine responsive to performance, from gated cleanup to louder-is-more behavior.

Gate	-60 dB — 0 dB	-60 dB	Noise gate threshold. Signal below this level bypasses the fold stage.
Envelope	-100% — +100%	0%	Modulates fold depth with the input envelope. Positive: louder = more fold. Negative: inverted.
Compander	0% — 100%	0%	Compress before folding, expand after. Maintains perceived loudness while increasing fold density.

Group 04

Output

Final level, width, and blend controls help place the folded signal anywhere from subtle enhancement to full takeover.
